How great would it be if we all came together and helped make Tolland beautiful again? On May 4th we will be hosting a Community Clean up event. We will be cleaning up the fields, playground, trails and pavilion at Crandall Park ,the roadway and area around Shenipsit lake and a few local home properties owned by veterans or elderly folks who could use the help.
Everyone is invited to come lend a hand. If you belong to a sports team, club or just want to form your own clean up team we encourage people to come together as groups. For those who are not part of a group we will add you to one of our clean up teams.
What to bring?
Please bring rakes, gloves and appropriate clothing for the day. We will supply trash bags for everyone. If you would like to help on one of the local property clean up teams we could use a couple wheel barrows. We could also use a couple drivers to help bring teams to local properties.
When & Where?
8:00-9:00AM – Meet at Crandall Park for large group meeting, instructions and safety precautions.
9:00-1:00pm – Clean up teams will be dismissed to clean up the park, lake area and local properties.
2:00-3:00pm – Pack up and clear out of Crandall
1:00-2:00pm – All teams are encouraged to return to Crandall Park for a free lunch cooked by the local Lions club.
Registration:
Everyone is encouraged to register online. However you can register when you arrive. By registering it lets us know how many people are planing to come ahead of time.
